With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise across the nation, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is putting their 3D printing network including the BioAssemblyBot® to fight the virus. Dr. Ryan Vega of the VA said “I can take that image, send it to a 3D printer and take it for a patient’s anatomy. This technology allowed us to manufacture necessary equipment, PPE, even testing devices during the pandemic.”
