Regional Sales Manager

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within specific regions. This Manager leads by example and routinely meets with direct reports and customers, either demonstrating directly or coaching sales reps by shadowing them on best in class approaches to listening to customer issues and positioning Advanced Solutions and Autodesk technology to solve those business challenges.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes objections to closure.
  • Develop strategies and techniques necessary for achieving Product and Services sales targets for the team
  • Ensure team is delivering monthly/quarterly desired results
  • Track team performance and report to Sr. VP of Sales
  • Accurate forecasting to Sr. VP of Sales
  • Maintaining and improving business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
  • Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes objections to closure.
  • Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and friendly manner with levels of staff and customers.
  • Functions as a consultative salesperson; accurately conveys the organization’s products and services to prospective clients as strategic solutions to improve their business operations while increasing sales.
  • Effectively uses the company marketing initiatives and collateral (handouts, demo’s, and other material) and successfully engages new prospects.
  • Provides additional revenue by always being aware of upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a customer’s organization.
  • Assists assigned sales reps with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Promotes and follows ASI good practices with NetSuite documentation of sales activities.
  • Promotes and follows ASI good practices with pipeline management.
  • Conducts bi-annual Rank & Review with assigned team members.
  • Promotes and actively seeks new customers (new logos) to Advanced Solutions
  • Becomes actively involved in a new sales reps orientation and sales training programs.
  • Assist assigned sales reps with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for named accounts.
  • Attends trade shows or events when Advanced Solutions marketing requests assistance.
  • Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers. Checks on competitive activity and recommends new methods to compete to senior management.
  • Weekly 1:1 with sales team members

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience managing direct reports, large territories and diverse product offerings
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale
  • Self-driven, motivated and results oriented

Minimum Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or a technical field
  • Minimum of 7 years outside sales/business development in 2D and 3D software sales, with at least 3 of those years in a high leadership role
  • Must have strong industry experience in one of the following vertical markets: architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), infrastructure, advanced manufacturing.
  • Must be willing to travel
Compensation

Hourly rate based upon experience. ASI offers a very competitive compensation and benefit package including health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending account, term life insurance, and 401(k) plans.
